    She looks very like Goosey, the mongoose who lived with us in 1964. Goosey was a great bug-catcher, crunching and devouring them in the middle of the living room whole our dog and cat watched with interest. She came back to the US with us and lived our her days at the Philadelphia Zoo. She was a cusimanse (that’s a kind of mongoose): scientific name Crossarchus obscurus. We know because the zoo’s curator ID’d her.
