girl cooking

Author: Robert

I think this young girl is preparing ‘foo foo’ made from cassava. I have watched villagers cooking great tubs of perfect rice on an open fire. I was amazed at the skills they have in preparing food.

I have the impression that the girl is frying doughballs (doughnuts Liberian style). Of course it could be cassava dough but then it is no longer called foofoo as far as I know.

    • She is frying “Kallah!” FuFu, is made from pounded cassava and cooked to the the consistency similar to that of dumpling. You eat it with soup, sauce, etc. Yum!!! 🙂
