Nenequillie with some of the locals

I was given the name “Nenequillie” which means “White Woman” when I was a Peace Corps Volunteer living with the Kpelle people in upper Bong Co. This is in the first village I lived in called Bellemu. These are some of my neighbors. Everyone looked after me and I felt very much at home.
