I explored West Point in 1980 and it is interesting to compare your picture of that era to the present. Notably the beach has grown where it connects with Waterside in the foreground of the picture. These days people lament beach erosion in Monrovia, but here at the mouth of the Meserado River there appear to be new deposits. Also remarkable is the survival of a large tree (second from the right center.) Alas, I am suspect the tragedy that much of the zinc today is the same as yesterday.
